Each drum and shield has a unique design and is steeped in history with Zulu warriors using the same during the infamous battle of Islanswana of 1879 where Zulu Chief Cetsawayo lead his army to a great victory over the British and subsequent holding action of the British against the Zulu’s at Rourkes drift.
